I hopped on the scale this morning and to say I was amazed would be an understatement. I followed my plan pretty well yesterday, but I didn’t expect to lose over 2 pounds, especially since I had lost nearly 2 pounds the day before.

Part of the reason I’ve lost so much this week is because I am doing a better job of following my plan. The other reason is that I had eaten so poorly over the weekend that it didn’t’ take too much correction to lose the weight I had put on.

We threw a graduation party for our daughter on Saturday and there was an enormous amount of delicious food that was prepared, including unbelievable cake and cup cakes prepared by my sister-in-law, so my calorie intake probably tripled over the weekend. I am glad to be getting back into my routine.

Today should be a good day with a full day of work and time to exercise tonight. No matter how well I stick with my plan I don’t expect to lose weight once again on the scale tomorrow, not after having lost almost 5 pounds this week. I just want to guard against gaining too much weight. We’ll see what happens, and we’ll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
